Nodricks Norsask Seeds Ltd.
Products:

Nodricks Norsask Seeds Ltd, (NNSL), is a private family owned business that has been operating in the seed industry for over 75 years. NNSL’s operations include seed production, seed processing, as well as domestic and international sales and marketing for both conventional and organic crops. NNSL’s geographic location of operations are ideally suited for primary production and multiplication of a diverse line of seed varieties. Envisioned 75 years ago, the company continues to evolve while upholding its primary commitments to offer quality products; flexible, responsive service at equitable prices; to continually advance and expand our producer’s market place by providing our growers with global marketing options; to support and encourage a sustainable future for production agriculture and the community we serve. In order to achieve these standards we strive to respond quickly to support our valued producer base and to provide the best quality and service to our respected buyers in the world markets. Location: Our primary base of operations is in the town of Tisdale, which is located in the north eastern portion of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, in the heart of the fertile Carrot River Valley and home to some of the most productive farmland in the province and some of the most progressive farmers in the world. This agricultural region has a very diverse cropping rotation that includes production of staple crops such as cereals, (oats, barley, wheat, and rye), oilseeds, (canola and flax), and pulses (dry field peas and lentils), but it is also one of Canada’s most significant production areas for forage and grass seed. Alfalfa, known as the queen of the forages is the most widely grown forage crop in this region and is well known for its winter hardiness. During the peak growing season the average temperature is approximately 15 degrees Celsius, the combination of warm days and cool humid nights provide a perfect ecological balance between plant nurturing and plant stress, an excellent environment for a diverse cropping rotation. Activity: The core activity of our company remains producer contracting, commercial seed representation, and processing and distribution of seed cultivated in the prairies of western Canada. With the ever-changing trends in the agricultural sector the augmentation of organic producers in the area has been substantial. NNSL has developed an extensive producer base throughout western Canada and a growing global contact consumption base that we work closely with to maintain the health of our trade business. Through these relations NNSL is emerging as a global conduit to assist the producers in meeting the demand for organically produced commodities. We are certified organic for NOP and EU standards with Canadian Seed Institute.
